Glenn Janik’s practice focuses on patent and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Janik’s patent litigation experience includes technology ranging from pacemakers and implantable cardio-defibrillators to Microsoft Windows™ operating systems to synthetic diamond used in the oil and gas drilling industry. Mr. Janik’s commercial litigation experience includes securities fraud litigation involving hedge funds and junk-rated bonds; professional liability suits (including representation of the Enron Unsecured Creditors Committee); an environmental lawsuit brought under the Federal Pipeline Safety Act; and several lawsuits related to alleged manipulation of the de-regulated Texas retail energy market.
Mr. Janik was named a 2008 Rising Star in Intellectual Property Litigation by Texas Monthly Magazine.
At the University of Texas School of Law, Mr. Janik was a member of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal, the Finance Chairman for the Board of Advocates, a two-year member of the Information Technology and Privacy Moot Court Team, and a Finalist in the Thad T. Hutchenson Moot Court Competition.
Prior to joining Shore Chan Bragalone LLP, Mr. Janik was a patent and complex commercial litigation associate at McKool Smith, PC in Dallas, Texas.
